Transmitter information

UHF transmitters

UHF, (ultra high frequency) are the ultimate in quality and reliability when selecting transmitters for covert surveillance use. The frequency for these transmitters is around 400MHz. This enables the antenna for the transmitter and receiver to be small, just a few inches. At this frequency, and around this area, there is no interference from other sources such as two way radios, taxis e.t.c. so reception is completely clear. The frequency on these transmitters is controlled by a crystal so changes in temperature, movement e.t.c. will not alter the frequency, the frequency will remain completely stable making them ideal for bodyworn applications and reliability. The circuitry is also very complex and a good range can be expected as well as excellent audio pick up and reception. All transmitters will pick up sounds from up to 40 feet away with amazing clarity. As the frequency of these transmitters is locked, a dedicated receiver on exactly the same frequency is used so tuning is not necessary, simply turn on and use. To record the reception, the receiver simply connects to any type of recorder for fully automatic recording. All UHF transmitters are available on different channels enabling the user to switch the receiver to monitor the desired transmitter.

Low cost transmitters

All low cost transmitters are "free running". The frequency is controlled by transistors, a crystal is not used so with extreme temperature change or if used for bodyworn applications, the frequency is susceptible to slight changes. The frequency for these transmitters is between 80 - 125MHz. and by turning a small adjuster on the transmitter, the user can alter the frequency to the desired range. If the user wishes to receive the transmitter using an ordinary fm radio, (88 - 108MHz), then care should be taken so that the frequency set is not the same as any radio stations or the transmitter signal will be overpowered. The ideal frequency range to use these transmitters is between 108 - 125MHz fm air band as there are no radio stations there and there is less chance of anyone else picking up the signal. To use the airband range, an air band receiver must be used and tuned to the same frequency as the transmitter. These transmitters have excellent audio pick up and will pick up sounds up to 40 feet away and a good range can be achieved. To record the signal, the receiver simply connects to any type of recorder or a recorder / receiver available from us can be used for fully automatic recording.

Infinity transmitters

This new type of transmitters allow you to listen to conversations from anywhere in the world. Range will never be a problem again. Using the cellphone technology and networks, the infinity transmitters offer an alternative solution for remote monitoring. They are now availlable with covert video monitoring using the latest 3G UMTS technology.
